Inclusive commemoration of Holocaust victims in Głodno
In November, the Zapomniane Foundation team, together with local partners, carried out a green commemoration of a grave and a forest hideout in the town of Głodno (borough of Łaziska). Thanks to cooperation with (for) landscape architect Natalia Budnik, we marked the location of the dugout/burial with plants so that it would fit into the local landscape. During the unveiling ceremony of the monument/tombstone, together with the local community, we commemorated 10 people of Jewish nationality. The ceremony was attended by residents, youth and teachers from four nearby schools, representatives of institutions, local and regional authorities and the clergy - a rabbi, bishop and parish priest of Łaziska, representatives of the Volunteer Fire Department.

SZUL. Stanisław Wygodzki. Reminiscence about a writer from Będzin
This year, an absolutely unique event awaits us at SZUL. The Foundation, together with Izabela Tumas-Matuszewska – creator of the Facebook profile Stanisław Wygodzki – invite you to two days devoted to the work of the most outstanding writer, poet, creator of children's fairy tales, translator from Będzin – Stanisław Wygodzki.
A few dozen years ago, his outstanding works were required reading in schools. Today, almost no one remembers this exceptional figure. Stanisław Wygodzki is a brilliant prose writer who wrote the following in one of his stories about his hometown:
"The view was vast. Before us lay the city, the most beautiful city in the world, the first and last city of my life".

“Poland is Not Yet Lost”
"Jeszcze Polska... (Poland is not Yet Lost)" is an interactive, satirical, and futuristic theatrical performance that imagines a world where the State of Israel has been destroyed, leading to the return of three million Jews to Poland. The plot explores a Poland governed by Jewish leaders, including the country's president, portrayed by Maciej Stuhr (played by the real-life actor himself). Stuhr's decision to convert to Judaism inspires four million non-Jewish Poles to follow in his footsteps. In this alternate reality, the audience is invited to witness a crucial moment in Polish-Jewish history: a referendum that will decide whether to establish a new Jewish state in Poland.

Exploring the Emerging Dynamics of Migration Policies and Border Violence
The seminar took place in Świnoroje in Podlasie, on the Polish-Belarusian border. It brought together researchers from different countries who presented their respective empirical work on border violence and who responded to the invitation to join us in advancing critical dialogue on migration, border violence, social struggles and social justice. Speakers were selected based on abstracts submitted in response to an open call circulated through academic and activist networks. In addition to the speakers and other active participants in the seminar, about 25 other people attended the sessions and the opening of the exhibitions (activists and humanitarian workers, local residents and international students from the University of Warsaw who joined the discussion).
